We're off to a great start on The "Key" Campaign, but we still need your help! Our goal is to fill the main floor of the DHS Auditorium for the concert and to sell all 88 keys on the piano. Please use the order form below to order your advanced reserved tickets & purchase a key. Advanced reserved tickets are limited, so don't delay!

All orders for Holiday Greenery are due, with payment, to Ms. Potts or Ms. Reece by Tue, Nov 3. If you don't know a DHS music student and would like to order, please contact Sandy DeSalvio, Greens Coordinator, at 309-360-2159 and she'll be happy to help you out. 
 The Marching Band season came to a fantastic close on Saturday as the Cadet Band took 3rd Place in Class 1A and the Varsity Band took 1st Place in Class 4A and Grand Champion of the Class 3A/4A. It was an exciting day!
The Key Campaign benefit concert is a month away. Please download & print out this order form to order your tickets. There is a limited number of advanced reserved tickets being offered, so don't delay! 
It's Holiday Greenery time! The Dunlap Music Boosters (via the students) are once again selling these beautiful greens as a fundraiser to support music & theater at DHS. There are four selections being offered this year, as can be seen in the pictures. Orders & payment are due Nov. 3 and delivery will be the first week of December. The DHS band, chorus, orchestra or theater students are selling the greens, but if you don't know one and would like to order, please contact Sandy DeSalvio, Greens Coordinator, at 309-360-2159 and she'll be happy to help you out.

Monday, Oct. 19th - CADET Football Game - 5:30 pm call time Tuesday, October 20th - NO VARSITY Rehearsal Thursday, October 22nd - VARSITY Rehearsal from 7:00-9:00 pm THIS IS REQUIRED!!! Friday, October 23rd - CADET Rehearsal - 1:00-2:30 pm - THIS IS REQUIRED!! Saturday, Oct. 24th - WIU Competition: CADETS: 8:45 am - Cadets load buses 9:00 am - Cadet band/flags leave DHS Cadets stopping on the way for lunch - bring money Noon - Cadets Get dressed 2:00 - Cadets Perform 5:00 - Cadet Awards 5:15 - One Cadet bus will return to DHS - Students will NOT be able to enter the building Other cadet bus will stay until varsity band heads for home - departure around 9:15 pm VARSITY: 2:45 pm - Varisty band & chaperons load buses 3:00 pm - Varsity band leaves DHS 5:00 pm - Arrive at WIU and eat in the stadium - bring money for food 6:00 pm - Get dressed 6:30 pm - Warm up 7:45 pm - Perform 9:00 pm - Awards 9:15 pm - Varsity buses and one cadet bus leave for DHS Everyone is expected to stay & help unload the trailers upon return to DHS The end of Marching Season is quickly approaching! It's time to celebrate all the hard work that has gone into supporting our bands and their successes...and have a little ice cream too!
All Cadet & Varsity band students and their families are invited to join us on Tuesday, October 27 in the DHS Commons at 7:00 pm for ice cream party and a slide presentation of the season. When signing up, please include the total number of people attending, including your band student(s), so we have enough ice cream for everyone. Please click here to sign up for the party. Call time for students is 6:45 Students should dress in all black (including black shoes and socks!) Football Game - Mon, Oct. 19: Call time for Cadet band/flags for their football game performance is 5:30pm.
Rehearsal - Fri, Oct. 23: Due to no school on Oct. 22nd and 23rd, Cadet band and flags will be rehearsing Friday, October 23rd from 1:00-2:30pm. WIU Competition - Sat, Oct 24: Cadet band/flags will leave DHS at 9:00am on Saturday for their competition at WIU. A more detailed schedule will be provided later. |
