Chorus bus leaves at 5:15am and Band/Orchestra leaves at 6:00am

​We are seven days out from our 4th annual invitational and we still have 60 slots still open that NEED help. We are requiring that one person from each band family volunteers to help. Without these slots filled we will not be able to achieve the success that we have seen in the years past.

Here are the big areas that need help:

Concessions - this is a great spot because this is our biggest fundraiser and you can still get to hear the bands play and serve our guests with a smile. These are two hour time slots and we have coordinators that make this a smooth process and the time will fly by.

Ticketing / Audience Control - This spot is right in the action, help keep the stands quiet so each band has a chance to perform at their best and you get to watch them all. You are going to be there anyway, so please help us out.

Parking - You are the first and last person they see at our competition. We want to make the process of finding a spot and leaving in an orderly fashion smooth for everyone. I have personally helped in this area the last two years and it is a lot of fun and a necessary part of the process. Think Disney World parking for marching band.

On a personal note, I did not volunteer in person as a freshman parent, I would drop off food and drink. Then I would go to the events and everyone seemed to know each other. I thought this was because they are long time friends or neighbors, but it wasn't. It was because they all volunteer together. I can tell you getting involved two years ago has been great. I now understand the community that is our music and theater programs. Please.... Please... Please get in and sign up to help. You will be happy and enjoy the events.

2:00pm-meet at DHS.  Eat a late lunch and bring a snack if you want!
3:00pm-loaders and chaperones arrive
4:00pm-leave
Get dressed upon arrival
6:45pm-perform
               Change and get food from concessions
8:45pm-awards
10:00pm-back at DHS
