The "ILL Harmonic" men's a cappella singing group from the U of I visited DHS on Monday, May 18. They put on a super performance for all DHS Choral students. The group featured DHS alumni, Jon Brattin '13.

Theater Director, Robin Hunt, announced the 2015-2016 theater season to students in a fun "reveal party" yesterday. The students are very excited for next year's selections. The DHS Music Department placed 3rd in the IHSA, Division A Music Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is a combination of points accumulated during Solo & Ensemble Contest and Organizational Contest held in March and April of this year. This is the first time in 11 years that the school has won top honors. The last time was when Dunlap was a Division B school. All DHS music students share in this award that honors our outstanding music program.  Any student interested in participating in the DHS "Stage 323" Theatre Productions for the 2015-2016 School Year are invited to attend a Reveal Party on Tuesday, May 19 at 3:45 PM in the auditorium. Show dates and titles will be shared for next years plays and musical. Dress comfortably for some dance movement!!

There will be meeting for the DisneyWorld trip on Wednesday, May 20th in the DHS auditorium at 7pm. Paperwork that must be filled out for each trip participant will be passed out at this meeting as well as roommate and chaperone assignments. Chaperones will be available to meet with parents also. Cadet Band Summer Band Camp dates are July 27-31, 2015 from 7:45-12:30 each day. This camp is for incoming freshman that are registered for Cadet Band. The camp is designed specifically to teach the fundamentals of marching band, as well as begin the choreography for the fall. Cadet Band students must attend the summer camp in order to participate in marching band in the fall. Registration & fees are due by June 5 to Lindsey Wineinger at DHS. Questions? It's time to register for DHS Summer Varsity Band Camp! This year's camp is Aug 3-7 from 7:45 - 5:00 p.m. each day. Information was emailed out today and is provided below in case we missed anyone.
