Please see the attachments below concerning Madrigal, Court Singer, Show Choir, and JAZZ auditions now on May 14th, 2021. You will need to complete the following tasks to be ready for your audition.
1. Read the entire FYI Audition packet and all of this email so that you and your parents know what you are committing to and the timeline involved. If you did not receive an audition packet, please contact Ms. Reece ASAP.
2. Fill out the questionnaire and parent permission forms. Be sure to sign the form and have your parents sign, too.
2. Turn in, give to office to leave in my school mailbox, or email/text Ms. Reece a pic of both the questionnaire and the parent permission form to [email protected] or [email protected] by May 5th, 2021
3. IF YOU ARE A NEW potential member to M/CS/JZ/SC...Present/email a copy of the recommendation form to a teacher of your choice. Be sure to fill out and/or circle information or provide the information in your email to them so they can accurately speak to your strengths. Remind them to email/drop in mailbox Reece a copy of their recommendation once completed by May 5, 2021 and follow up to make sure they received your email. (2020-2021 current members DO NOT have to complete this step)
4. To maintain social distancing, auditions will be four singers on stage at a time. Masks will be worn at all times. Bring a copy of your accompaniment music in a binder or 3 hole punched (NO BOOKS). Auditions will be alphabetical starting in the middle this year. Madrigal/Court Singer Only auditions will start at 4PM, with all others beginning at 5PM in the DHS Auditorium.
5. Memorize your song and if you are auditioning for Show Choir or JAZZ, be sure to learn the dance ahead of time. Normally Robin teaches the routine on audition day, however again this year, that will not be possible. Instead she has made a video with two parts (entire dance breakdown, completed dance front view) You can find the audition dance video in three different places:

6. Madrigal Call Backs will be Monday May 17th at 4:00PM. Call back lists, music, and information will be emailed out and posted on the front door of the HS by NOON on Saturday May 15th.
All auditions are on the same day so that the panel of judges can hear everyone under the same circumstances. If you have questions, concerns, or anything that might prevent you from being prepared for the deadlines outlined above, please do not wait until the last minute to contact me. Thanks!!
