Band Pre-Season

Pre-season weeks for the 22-23 school year will be July 25-29 from 8am to noon and August 1-5 from 7:45am to 5pm.

Marching Eagles

The Dunlap High School Marching Eagles are one of the largest and most successful marching bands in central Illinois. The Marching band program consists of two marching bands .

Varsity Band

The Upper Level Band is a competitive marching and concert band for sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Varsity Preseason is a two week long, all-day rehearsal during which the new show routine and music is taught and practiced toward the end of summer. The Varsity Band also holds evening practices starting in the summer and lasting through the final competition.

Fall Season  consists of mainly marching band competitions and football games. The band plays at every home football game. Most Saturdays in September and October find the band at a field competition.
Band Retreat is typically a Saturday during the season that is very similar to a band camp day. The time is used to polish the show.

Cadet Band

The Cadet Band is for students who are new to DHS desiring an opportunity for marching band instruction (this includes Freshmen).

Fall Season  The Cadet Band performs at a couple sophomore football games and sometimes competes in one to two field competitions.
