With the start of school comes the beginning of lots of fall activities, and Stage 323 at DHS will hit the ground running on the first day of classes.
This year, the theater department will be presenting "These Shining Lives" on Oct. 6 & 7, 2016.
Students wanting to learn more about the Fall play are invited to a "read through" of the script immediately after school from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Wed, Aug 17 in the DHS Auditorium.
Auditions will then be held on Thursday and Friday from 3:30 to 5:00. Students do not need to come to both days of auditions. Click the link below to download the audition form.
Please note that rehearsals will be after school, so students who are cast in the show, will need to make that time a priority.
Anyone who wants to be on crew and work backstage, can drop off an audition form any of the three nights this week.
As a reminder, in order to participate in theater students must obtain a Gold Card and bring it with them to auditions.

Marching Band Students!
We are looking at taking a bus to NIU on Sunday, July 17th to watch the DCI Tour of Champions drum corps show. This show features a lot of top drum corps, including the Cavaliers who alum Alex Hunt is marching with this summer! We would leave DHS in the late afternoon for the 7pm show and head home after it is over. Tickets are around $25 and up depending on where you want to sit. Please email Ms. Potts if you would be interested in riding the bus and attending the show with us!
Join us for Annie, Jr. - TONIGHT (Friday, June 10)
at 7pm in the DHS Auditorium. Admission is FREE!!
Theater camp has been a huge success this week! The 40 High School student counselors have lead the 68 campers (4th-9th Grades) through lots of activities this week to learn about how a theater production is put together. Campers will join the counselors on stage as part of the chorus.

The final Music Booster meeting of this school year is Tuesday, May 17 at 7 pm. The meeting will be held in the Band Room (note location change), as the Town Center was already reserved for another meeting. We will be voting on officers for the 2016-17 school year. There are two people running for President, so we will have a paper ballot for that position. All other offices will be voted on by show of hand. Following is the slate of officers that will be presented for a vote:
